Abstract

The article discusses America's statutory damages regime and various copyright laws around the globe as of June 2013, focusing on bilateral and regional trade agreements, anti-aggregation measures, and the potential development of international statutory damages provisions in relation to copyright protections. Compensation for harm is addressed in relation to copyright infringement claims and the disgorgement of a defendant's profits. The World Intellectual Property Organization is assessed.
