Abstract
- The article discusses the use of fetotomy procedure for the successful per-vaginum delivery of interlocked twins in a full-term pregnant crossbred dairy cow. Thygeson's fetotome loaded with a wire saw and tied to a calving rope carrier was used in the fetotomy after the calving rope carrier was passed around the fetal thorax. Applied traction is cited to have helped the delivery. Causes of interlocking twins such as the fetus size, monoamniotic twins, and paucity of fluid are presented.
