Abstract

An essay is presented on the incorporation of Central Asia into the world history classroom by the Jesuit missionaries. The author states that the Jesuit missionaries came to Central Asia to learn, engage, and proselytize the local populations. He says that the Jesuit missionaries have associated Central Asia into the experience of new religious cultures and the proliferation of international trade which were the two major themes in the study of world history.
