Abstract
- The article describes the case of a pregnant pug which presented pronounced abdominal distention, lethargy, and anorexia. An ultrasound revealed the presence of abnormal fluid accumulation within the fetal membranes, particularly in the allantois. A cesarean section is performed and the dog received parenteral fluid therapy following the surgical procedure. It is found that clinical and ultrasound assessments are suitable for the diagnosis for hydrallantois in a canine patient.
