Abstract
- The article discusses the development of naval radars since World War II. According to the author, the advent of the planar array facilitated the fielding of four-dimensional radars that provide three distinct measurement axes using a single antenna which eliminated the need for a height-finding radar on the cramped topside of the modern warship.
