Abstract
- The article analyzes some of the studies suggesting that obstructive sleep apnea (SOA) may increase the risk of glaucomatous optic neuropathy. It explores the possibility of including the work-up for one disorder to the other, citing that both can exist consequently. A brief definition of sleep apnea is provided. It also discusses OSA and optic nerve perfusion, glaucoma cohorts and association with OSA, and the challenges of diagnosing both disorders.
