Abstract
- Highlights: [•] The possibilities to produce precisely-controlled nanoparticle groupings by using biological and polymeric spacers are discussed. [•] Experimental data are used to point out the current limits of forming gold nanoparticle dimers by using biological and polymeric spacers.
