Abstract
- The article offers information on a research related to substance use prevention for Asian American adolescent girls. It informs that the study was conducted on a parent-child program with a sample of adolescent girls and their mothers and evaluation of the program's efficacy on decreasing girls' substance use and modifying risk and protective factors at individual, family, and peer levels were examined. It revealed that a culturally generic, family-based prevention program was efficacious.
