Comparative Analysis of Gene Expression by Microarray Analysis of Male and Female Flowers of Asparagus officinalis.

The article presents a study which aims at examining the gene expression profiles in early flower development of male and female plants of the dioecious flower Asparagus officinalis by using microarray assay. The study mentions that genes with biased-expression for male and female plants were involved in various functions associated with cellular components, biological processes and molecular functions. The study also reports genes involved in the reproductive process of asparagus.
