Abstract

The article discusses the advantages offered by dealers to construction contractors planning to purchase or service equipment. It notes that while contractors tend to lack the time and capital to be spent on equipment issues, dealers can handle such concerns in the normal course of business. Advantages provided by dealers include new and used equipment, market trade-in values and financing options. It examines the costs generated by in-house staff and dealers in terms of equipment maintenance.
