Abstract
- An essay about American film director, screenwriter and cinematographer Stanley Kubrick, his indirection and Holocaust is presented. It argues that Holocaust, Jews and Nazis are sublimated in Kubrick's films such as "Paths of Glory," "A Clockwork Orange, " and "2001: A Space Odyssey" indirectly. The author also comments that the effect of Kubrick's indirection in films such as "The Shining" and "Eyes Wide Shut," a postmodern effect, is a way for viewers to contemplate the Holocaust.
