Abstract

Highlights: [•] Highly thermally degraded MEA samples still retained some capacity to remove CO<subscript>2</subscript>. [•] Amongst other degradation products, 2-oxazolidone, HEEDA and HEIA were the major. [•] HEIA was indicated as the most stable thermal degradation product.
