Determination by LC-MS of Juvenile Hormone Titers in Hemolymph of the Silkworm, Bombyx mori.

The article discusses the results of a study which determines the presence of juvenile hormone (JH) I, II, III in hemolymph of the silkworm using liquid chromatography and mass spectroscopy. The study described the addition of sodium acetate to the eluting solution to enhance the sensitivity of analysis for JH methoxyhydrines. It also mentioned the monitoring of the titration of JH titers from the third instar through to the early pupal stage.
