Abstract
- Highlights: [•] We assess the economic impacts of using different climate metrics. [•] The setting is cost-efficient scenarios for three interpretations of the 2C target. [•] With each target setting, the optimal metric is different. [•] Therefore policy ambiguity prevents the selection of an optimal metric. [•] Robust metric values that perform well with multiple policy targets however exist. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
