Abstract
- The article focuses on Mike McIntyre, landscape architect and designer of skateboarding parks at the firm Stantec in Boston, Massachusetts. The article discusses parks he has designed in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, St. Cloud, Minnesota and the planned Charles River Skatepark in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The article also discusses sculptor Nancy Schön, a supporter of skatepark construction so that skateboarders do not disturb public art, and the skatepark at the Chelsea Piers in New York City.
