Abstract

The article presents a study which investigates the cardiocirculatory response during passive walking-like leg movement in the standing posture (PWM) PWM in healthy young men. It states that subjects were grouped in a sitting and quiet standing positions to determine baseline levels. Results show that systolic arterial blood pressure (SAP) reduces during the sitting baseline period. It is inferred that PWM is effective for inhibiting cardiocirculatory responses to orthostatic stress.
