Abstract

The article provides an overview of the Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Trust (ARC), a non-government organisation (NGO) and registered charity. It focuses on the conservation of wild amphibian and reptile populations. The primary objectives of the ARC are discussed. Some of the ARC partners include the British Herpetological Society (BHS) and The National Trust (NT). An overview of ARC projects is also provided including management of sites supporting amphibians and reptiles and promotion and organizing conservation management on sites in England and Wales and Scotland where natterjack toads, Bufo calamita have their habitat.
