Abstract: Studies the potential effects of exposure to contaminants with estrogenic activity on wild fathead minnows from a lake experimentally treated with the synthetic estrogen ethynylestradiol (EE2). Addition of EE2 to Lake 260 in the Experimental Lakes Area, Ontario from May to October 2001; Range of EE2 concentrations in epilimnetic waters; Presence of widespread fibrosis and inhibition of testicular development in winnows.
