Abstract
- The article highlights the warning issued by demographer Joel Kotkin about the continuing decline in families around the world. Kotkin suggests that a worldwide decline in families will lead to changes in workforce decisions, fewer consumers and evolving markets. Speaking at the 2013 Zions Bank Trade & Business Conference, Kotkins revealed that almost all advanced industrial countries have been experiencing a reduction in the role of the family.
