Abstract
- The author reflects on the appointment of Finnish conductor Mikko Franck as music director of the Orchestre philharmonique de Radio France from 2014. A brief overview of Franck's career is given, including his work on the Orchestre national de Belgique and the Opéra de Finlande. Particular focus is given to the work of South-Vietnamese conductor Myung-Whun Chung as director of the Orchestre philharmonique de Radio France from 2000 to 2014.
