Abstract
- The article presents information on growing annual green manure crops. These crops increase organic matter in soil, fix and hold nitrogen, curb weeds and interrupt pest and disease cycles. Summer green manure crops give good leaf canopy cover and suppress weed growth. Also included are brief profiles of several clover mixes and straights including Summer Quick Fix, Yellow Trefoil/White Clover, and Yellow Trefoil. INSET: SOWING AND GROWING.
