Abstract
- The article focuses on a study which implemented and evaluated a parent education and support program that enhances family-integrated care in a Canadian neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). The educational programs were conducted by hospital staff and veteran parents to assist in developing confidence in caregiving among parents. Study authors concluded that their program provided parents of infants in NICU with the tools and skills they need to take care of their infants at home.
