Abstract
- The article discusses the Court of Justice of the European Union's ruling in the case Purely Creative v. Office of Fair Trading which deals with the legal aspects of prize promotion advertisements and aggressive practices under the European Union's Unfair Commercial Practices Directive in 2013. Injunctions for alleged breaches of EU consumer protection laws are addressed. The author argues that the court's decision may impact prize promoters who wish to offload low cost items.
