Abstract
- The article discusses the work of Iditarod volunteers. It states that volunteers work under the nonprofit Iditarod Trail Committee (ITC) which coordinated the Iditarod Trail Seld Dog Race in Alaska. It cites the tasks of volunteers which include packing and loading straw, dog food and supplies for checkpoints, remove snow from some areas and bring to another, and even chop wood. ITC executive director Stan Hooley shares about the passion and the motivation of their volunteers.
