Abstract

Both the multinational enterprises and the local ones bring along with their activity, a series of advantages. On the same time, they are a source of imbalance, subject to controversy over the economic, social, political environment where they implement their activities. In this article, we propose a comparative study in order to derive what category of enterprise is the most efficient and provide the most advantageous impact on the development. We find that multinationals are much more efficient than local enterprises, but the latter ones have the volumetric advantage, outnumbering the multinationals. We also suggest some possible solutions for the small and medium local enterprises that represent the pillars of the Romanian economy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
