The article presents the findings of a research conducted on examining the fermented mare milk to explore potential probiotics in the traditional foods of Indonesia. It discusses the methodology used in conducting the research including gram staining, catalase activity and cell morphology. The research reveals that all the isolates identified as lactobacilli as they appeared as Gram-positive rods without catalase activity.
