Abstract

The article discusses a study on patients with a primary rehabilitation diagnosis of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) to determine the representativeness of the Traumatic Brain Injury Model Systems National Database (TBIMS-NDB). It considers demographic characteristics, functional status, and hospital stays as outcome measures and compares the U.S. TBI rehabilitation population data and TBIMS-NDB. It concludes that TBIMS-NDB is a representative of patients receiving rehabilitation TBI in the U.S.
