LOS OBISPOS DE LA PROVINCIA ECLESIÁSTICA DE VENEZUELA Y LA CODIFICACIÓN DEL DERECHO CANÓNICO DE 1917: LOS "POSTULATA EPISCOPORUM.".

This article discusses the role of bishops from the Ecclesiastical province of Venezuela in the development of the Code of Canon Law under Pope Pius X in 1904. The author analyzes this codification of ecclesiastical law, which was completed in 1917 and is known as the "Postulata Episcoporum." He provides a brief history of Canon Law and describes its importance within the Catholic Church. The significance of the First Vatican Council from 1869-1870 on the development of Canon Law is also considered.
