The article discusses sexual assault against women in crowded public places in Egypt. Although Western journalists like Lara Logan, Caroline Sinz, and Natasha Smith managed to publicly report their sexual assault experiences that were allegedly committed by baltagiyya gangs to achieve intimidation, Egyptian women who had similar experiences refrain from sharing their plight due to certain Arab norms. The lack of Egyptian media attention to the issue is also criticized.
