Abstract

The article discusses the rates and factors to consider in the 30-day readmission of patients who are enrolled under the U.S. Medicaid program and with systolic heart failure. It states that their readmission rates are criticized by the public since these are covered by other payers. According to the author, Medicaid patients with this condition had reduced readmission rates compared to commercially insured patients.
