- The article offers information on the study conducted related to the evaluation of the ocular side effects of cancer-bearing dogs and cats treated with external-beam cobalt-60 radiation. It states that the main ocular side effect reported in both dogs and cats was conjunctivitis. It mentions that the animals showed the need for regular ophthalmic examinations as routine follow-up of radiation therapy.
