Abstract

The article discusses the High Court of Australia's case Patel v. The Queen, wherein the appellant, a surgeon at a regional hospital in Queensland, was tried before a jury on charges of manslaughter. The appellant's motion to quash the convictions and ordering a new trial was allowed, and the decision of the Queensland's Supreme Court was reversed.
