Abstract
- The article describes how contractors dealt with the logistical challenges of building the 24-story tower for Pace University in a particularly congested part of New York City. The Manhattan project was within two blocks of five other major construction jobs and faced major concerns from the community about noise and safety issues. The project team which included SL Green, Tishman Construction, and Karl Fischer Architect evaluated logistics including the choice of staging area.
