Abstract
- The article presents a study on the dynamics of a soil lithosequence with parent material that varies from schist to limestone to shale in central New Mexico. It discusses how the study was conducted which involved vertical profiling of the soils which revealed an increasing course in limestone and schist. The results reportedly revealed that small particle sizes may play a role in limiting decomposition, however the soils examined with three different parent materials behaved differently.
