Abstract
- The article discusses the history of the German orchestra Saarländisches Staatsorchester, which celebrated its centennial anniversary in 2012. Descriptions are given of the similarities between the orchestra's anniversary concert and a performance from 1912. Note is taken of works performed under the direction of conductor Toshiyuki Kamioka and the soloist contributions of violinist Christian Tetzlaff, and a quotation from a 1912 review of the orchestra's first performance is also included.
