JAPANESE CULTURAL INFLUENCE AND YOUTH SOLIDARITIES IN THE FORMER SOVIET UNION.

Information about several papers discussed at a symposium held December 5-6, 2011 in Higher School of Economics, Saint Petersburg, Russia sponsored by Program on Central Asia, Harvard University and Head of the Department of Sociology. Scholars gathered in the conference discussed different aspects and features of Japanese culture in post-Soviet space. The conference featured several head of research institutes such as John Schoeberlein, Davis Center and Elena L. Omelchenko.
