Abstract
- The article discusses the staff-initiated Engineering Mentoring Program implemented by the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts (LACSD) in 2007. The program pairs senior engineers with new hires to ease such issues as a complex work environment, knowledge transfer, and professional development. The article also mentions that LACSD employees have gained better appreciation for the agency as a result of the one-on-one mentoring.
