Abstract

The article presents a study on the geographic aspect of death penalty in Texas, as it is characterized by a very clear spatial differentiation, observable even at a county level. The purpose of the article is to show that death penalty can be a geographic topic, as long as its spatial expression allows to determine the existence of a legal spatial framework. The spatial logic of the way that the Texan executing counties are distributed is analyzed. Parallels are drawn between demographic and ethnic parameters and legal characteristics.
