Abstract: The article focuses on a study which developed a twin-runner Darreus water-turbine in an effort to make the electrical-power generation feasible under the lower tidal-current condition in Kanmon Strait, Japan. A description of the twin-runner Darreus water turbine is provided, along with the impact of counter rotations made on the turbine on its performance.
