An Outbreak of Cowpox in Dairy Farms of Jammu.

The article highlights a study which examined the outbreak of the skin disease cowpox in different dairy farms in Jammu region, India. Lactating cows were found to have the highest morbidity, followed by suckling calves and pregnant cows. Enrofloxacin was administered to the infected animals, along with supportive therapy of Meloxicam. No mortality was reported during the outbreak.
