Chemical Solution Helps Combat Distribution System DBPs.

The article focuses on the use of NSF 60 chemical solutions to address disinfection by-product (DBP) formation in water distribution system. Clearitas® 101 from Blue Earth Labs was developed to penetrate and remove inorganic and organic deposits that react with disinfectants. Moreover, successful applications of the product have been validated at several small water systems in the U.S. wherein increased chlorine residuals and DBPs decrease helped in meeting Stage 2 DBP requirements.
