Abstract
- The article discusses the recent advances in neuroscience and neuroimaging techniques that have led to a revision of Sensory Reeducation (SR) techniques and the timing when SR should be initiated. SR can be viewed in two phases: phase 1 and phase 2. It mentions that a literature search of the electronic bibliographic databases Medline, CINAHL, AMED and EMBASE was undertaken and provides assessment of methodological quality, results and interventions. It suggests the effect of SR programs need to be evaluated using validated impairment based measures of sensibility and patient rated outcome questionnaires of activities and participation.
