Abstract
- The article reports on research from Head Start's National Center on Cultural and Linguistic Responsiveness on creating educational plans for dual-language students. It discusses the increasing number of dual-language learners in the U.S. and the effects of multiple languages on children's brain and social development. Other topics explored include code-mixing, establishing dual-language policies in schools, and successfully learning the English language.
