Abstract

The article looks at the struggles of non-Arab people, particularly of the black Africans, in Middle Eastern countries in the 20th century. It is inferred that information related to the struggles of black Africans in Arab countries are hardly depicted in academic syllabus and classrooms. It highlights the formation of the organization Association for the Study of the Middle East and Africa (ASMEA), lead by Bernard Lewis and Fouad Ajami.
