Molecular cloning, characterization and tissue expression of porcine creatine transporter.

The article presents a study on the tissue distribution of porcine creatine transporter from Landrace pigs. The investigation was done by cloning the complementary DNA (cDNA) of porcine skeletal muscle creatine transporter (CrT) with the use of rapid amplification of cDNA end technology. It asserts that the procedure will benefit for a better understanding of the creatine metabolism in pigs and help in the field of meat quality.
