Abstract
- A biography of lawyer Aurel Maxey Kelly is presented. She was born on April 24, 1923 in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. She received Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Columbia Law School in New York in 1947. She was married to aviator Tom Kelly who helped her in practicing law when she didnot find a job in an established firm. She was the first female judge appointed to a Colorado appellate court.
