Abstract
- The article discusses structural characteristics and evolution of PfPLA 6 phospholipase A2 (PLA2) gene which was isolated from 6,328 base pairs segment of the snakes' venoms from protobothrops flavoviridis species. The comparison of the isolated gene with the aligned nucleotide sequences of viperidae family of venoms PLA2 genes is also analyzed. It mentions that PLA2 A-type genes from viperidae family of venoms including PfPLA 6 are found to be ancestors to the B-type of phospholipase genes.
