Abstract
- The article focuses on a new ceramic proppant used to detect without placing radioactive material downhole. It talks on the advantages as well as the environmental, regulatory, and safety issues concerning the adoption of the detection method that uses a high thermal neutron capture compound (HTNCC). It discusses the case history of using the new detectable proppant in the T sand of the Villeta and Caballos formations of the Juanambú filed in the Putumayo Basin of Colombia.
