The cultural complexity of medical groups.

Abstract
- The article presents a study which aims to describe the culture of medical groups and determine the factors which influence such cultures. It notes that a qualitative study of the organizational cultures of eight multispecialty medical groups has been conducted, utilizing data gathered during site visits and thorough interviews with clinical and administrative staff. It reveals that a multiplicity and diversity in cultures occur such as patient-centered, physician-centered, rational cultures.
