Abstract

The article reports that thieves are running away with bundles of corrugated cardboard left at the curbside for garbage pickup. It says that it is crime wave that is sweeping over the New York City streets in which it is costing the commercial carting industry millions of dollars. According to Dominick Icantalupo, vice-president of Chelsea Sanitation Service, his business blends between 500 and 600 dollars a night due to paper pilferers. Moreover, the city has taken steps to address the thefts.
